When Is a Master Number a Master Number?
The numbers 11, 22, and 33 aren't always master numbers.
In fact, often they aren't. Only sometimes, under certain conditions.
When 11, 22, or 33 is not a master number, the numbers are reduced to 2, 4, and 6, respectively.
So, what's required for 11, 22, and 33 to be a real master number? There's at least one requirement.
The basic requirement is that the number occurs in a person's numerology profile as one of the core numbers. When that condition is satisfied, 11, 22, and 33 in some other positions are also considered to be master numbers.
Further below, I'll talk about all the conditions required to make the number 11, 22, or 33 a master number.
You already know what the first condition is, that a master number occurs as at least one of the core numbers. The chart positions for the core numbers are:
- Destiny/Expression — Calculated from the name.
- Heart's Desire/Soul Urge/Inner Urge — Calculated from the name.
- Personality — Calculated from the name.
- Life Path — Calculated from the birth date.
When at least one of the core numbers are a master number, then the numbers 11, 22, and 33 in the chart positions below are also deemed to be master numbers. When no core number contains a master number, then the chart positions below are reduced to a single-digit.
- Any of the four pinnacle cycle positions — Calculated from the birth date.
- Any of the three life period cycle positions — Calculated from the birth date.
- The power position — Calculated from both the birth name and the birth date.
To recapitulate, only when at least one of the core numbers are a master number can 11, 22, or 33 in eight other numerology chart positions be considered master numbers.
The numbers 11, 22, or 33 in other chart positions are generally reduced to a single digit. When shown as master numbers, they can convey additional information about an underlying resonance that may have some influence.
