Affinity Numerology : Using Numerology
What Numerology Is Not
Some people have inaccurate concepts about what numerology is.
It is understandable. Without studying numerology, conclusions tend to be made according to what someone says numerology is. However, those who do the talking may themselves have bad information.
Because it deals with numbers, it is intuitive to associate numerology with anything related to numbers. Numerology becomes the go-to subject.
Unless you have studied numerology for a deep understanding, there may be things that seem like "yes, of course numerology can answer it" that are, nevertheless, in the realm of other divination practices.
This article will address some misconceptions that a professional numerologist notices.
(My numerology writing and practice are based on traditional Pythagorean numerology.)
What Numerology Is talks about what you can expect from numerology.
But it doesn't talk about what numerology is not. We'll do that here.
Numerology is not a psychic practice like tarot, palmistry, runes, and interpretation of psychic impressions. In numerology, results are obtained with mathematical computations.
Anything that can't be determined using numerology calculations is not numerology.
An example: When someone will get married. Calculations can be done to determine the dates when marriage is more likely, but there are too many variables, including the free will of betrothed and family, to predict an exact date. (See the Auspicious Marriage Date for a report of something that can be revealed.)
Another example: When someone will get a job. Variables that can't be calculated include the state of the economy and the availability of the type of job being pursued. The article that talks about when a person is likely to get a job may be informative. There is also the calculator about when it is more likely that you will get the type of job you are looking for. It responds with a list of more likely dates.
A third example: The condition of someone's health — now or in the future. For health issues, consult with a professional health practitioner. What you will eat, the exercise you will get, your living conditions, those and other things aren't calculable with numerology.
Numerology uses mathematical calculations to reveal likely current and future states. Any practice that requires resources or considerations outside that realm is not numerology.
Some numerologists have psychic impressions. Numerology results can be a focus or a seed to crystalize psychic impressions. But that does not make numerology a psychic practice.
Numerology is a tool. It can be used by people who are and people who are not psychic.

Numerology calculations are specific. When done correctly, the results of the calculations are always the same.
People have free will, however, and will run their life as they see fit. The things numerology reveals have an influence, but numerology doesn't control their life.
