The Meaning of Seeing the Same Numbers All the Time
Someone sees a number and it touches something inside them.
-
Maybe the number is the same as their birthday and the number touches a sense of personal meaning.
-
Perhaps the number is the same as the minute their child was born and the number touches a sense of emotional significance.
-
Or, maybe the digits of the number are arranged in such a way that the number touches a sense of order or aesthetics inside them.
Whatever the reason might be, seeing the number touches something inside the person.
The person notices the special number with more clarity than other numbers that cross their attention that day. Maybe they even pause for a moment, long enough to experience an instant emotional reaction or to have a thought about it.
That's why they remember seeing the number.
Notes to clarify the concept follow.
Something happens when someone remembers seeing a number and forgets the other numbers they saw:
Because it is the only number they remember seeing, their subjective reality recognizes the special number as the only number they see.
If it keeps happening, it can seem as if they see the number all the time. It may seem as if the number is following them around.
Sooner or later, the person is likely to wonder what it means. What is the number trying to tell them? Is somebody trying to get a message to them?
They wonder what they are missing because the number keeps popping up, grabbing their attention.
The more the person wonders what it means, the more emotional significance they invest, and the more likely they are to remember seeing the number whenever it is in their environment available to be seen.
In effect, the person is insisting that seeing the number must mean something, and then wonders what that meaning might be.
Some people get desperate. They feel like they're missing something important. They wonder what is wrong with them.
But it is all a subjective experience.
The objective reality is this:
Of all the numbers a person sees during the course of a day, the ones the person pays special attention to are the numbers more likely to be remembered.
This works with other things, too, not just numbers. The things you give your mental attention to are the things you remember the most.
Remember this. When you notice a number, letting it have some mental attention, you are more likely to remember seeing it.
There is no longer need to wonder what seeing the number repetitively means. Because it means you give the number more attention than you give numbers you don't remember seeing.
