Affinity Numerology : Using Numerology
Friendship Compatibility
There are several types or degrees of friendships. They range from friendly interactions to inseparable friends — the people who love us and challenge us, who we show up for, and who we rely on.
Friends who are more compatible tend to get together more often and in a more friendly fashion.
A person may have many friends, people they enjoy being with. Generally, however, a person has one or very few intimately close friends who they feel comfortable sharing any detail of their lives with, and whose comments and advice are taken seriously.
For numerology to determine friendship compatibilities, calculations are done primarily with the friend's names. Calculations with their birth dates can provide more information.
To determine friendship compatibility, the compatibility of the three numerology name core numbers are considered. Identical or highly compatible numbers for any particular core number position indicates friendship compatibility. Identical or highly compatible numbers for two or all three particular positions indicates a high friendship compatibility.
The two birth date core numbers also have some effect on friendship compatibility.
Birth date core numbers represent events or maleable characteristics formed by events. The name core numbers, which represent enduring personal characteristics, tend to be more important for determining friendship compatibility.
Friendship Compatibility Examples
The examples use specific core positions for illustration. These are presented in the order of most pertinent to determining friendship compatibility.
The Heart's Desire
The heart's desire chart position represents something a person will always desire — even if they get some or much of what they desire as they live life. When two people have the same heart's desire number, or numbers that are highly compatible, they generally have the characteristics or capacity for a compatible friendship.
As an example, if both have a heart's desire number 5, they both are likely to desire experiencing new things and to express their understanding of personal freedom. No matter how much of those they already have, there is always a desire for more. Because the desires are compatible (they don't need to be identical), they can be the basis for a great friendship.
As another example, if one has a heart's desire number 4 (focus on work and preparing for the future) and the other has a number 5 (focus on experiencing new things), then there is little compatibility of this particular core numerology chart position. (However, another core numerology chart position may have much compatibility).
The Destiny
The destiny chart position represents the essence of the individual a person recognizes as themself. When two people have identical or compatible destiny numbers, it indicates an essence for a compatible friendship.
As an example, if both have a destiny number 3, they both are likely to be creative and tolerant of other people's idiosyncrasies. The individuals living with creative expression energies are likely to stimulate each other into even more creativity.
As another example, if one has a destiny number 4 (focus on work and preparing for the future) and the other has a number 3 (creative expression), then there is little compatibility at this particular core numerology chart position.
The Personality
The personality chart position represents the general tone, likelihoods, and tendencies of how a person approaches life — what they find comfortable, what they are likely to embrace. When two people have the same or compatibile personality numbers, they generally have the option for a compatible friendship.
As an example, if one person has a personality number 4 (focus on work and preparing for the future) and the other person has a personality number 6 (family and nurture), then they are likely to get along well. The energies represented by 4 and 6 are compatible.
As another example, if one has a personality number 6 and the other has a number 7 (introspection and study), then there is little compatibility at this particular core numerology chart position.
The Life Path
The life path chart position represents the general types of events and circumstances that are likely to either persist or occur intermittently as a person lives life. When two people have the same life path number, or numbers that are highly compatible, they generally have experiences similar enough for a compatible friendship.
As an example, if both have a life path number 2 (coexistence and relationships), they are likely to talk shop on how best to get along with people and to help others with relationship issues.
But if one has a 2 life path number and the other's life path number is 1 (self-reliant and independent), the general events and circumstances of their life are unlikely to be consistently similar enough to support a long-term compatible friendship.
The Birth Day
The birth day chart position represents the approach a person is likely to take when pursuing goals and opportunities. When two people have the same birth day or birth days with the same foundation number, their approach to goals can have a resonating effect and be a point of friendship compatibility. They feel similar motivation.
Incompatible birth days, such as 14 (expression of a personal sense of freedom) and 15 (home and family orientation), means they are unlikely to have similar motivation for goals and opportunities.
