Numerology and Name Changes
Name changes for a better numerology profile aren't always successful. (Success being defined as experiencing the name-change benefits you had envisioned.)
When there's a positive reason for the name, success is more likely. Examples:
-
The name change is to enhance an energy currently represented in the person's numerology chart or to add a new energy.
-
The reason for the name change is to comply with marriage customs.
-
The new name is for professional reasons. Author pen names and actor names are examples.
-
The name is changed to comply with customs or expectations of the society a person has permanently moved to.
An example of a reason that's not positive is to escape or nullify unwanted situations or problems. Problems don't go away with a name change.
One Thing That Is Necessary
Something is necessary, even though it does not guarantee name change success: The person needs to identify themself fully with the new name and thoroughly relinquish any emotional connection to the previous name.

Without that, failure is virtually guaranteed.
It may take a while, perhaps months, for the person to fully to relinquish connections to the previous name and unwaveringly see themself as the person who's name is that new name. The longer it takes for that, the longer it takes for the energies represented by the new name to manifest.

The more effect the new name has, the less the birth name has. But the effect of the birth name will never be reduced to zero.
Why?
If you are contemplating a voluntary name change, the first question to ask is, "Why?"
If the contemplation is self-determined (rather than society/
Look inward. Are your reasons positive or negative? In general, anticipating gain (such as increased creative energy) is positive and anticipating decrease (such as unwanted situations) is negative.
This is a very personal decision, one with the potential to affect the rest of your life. Become fully informed before proceeding.
