How to Calculate Birth Date Numbers
Birth date numbers are calculated a specific way for numerology charts.
There are three methods I've seen people use to calculate a birth date number. One of those methods is correct for numerology charts.
Here are the three methods. (The third method is the correct one for numerology charts.)
Add together all the individual digits of the day of the birth date.
Add together the year number, the month number, and the day number of the birth date.
Determine the foundation numbers of the year, the month, and the day of the birth date, then add together those three foundation numbers.
Any of the three methods can be used to obtain the same single-digit result. However,
- if the originally calculated birth date number is desired (the result before any additional calculations are applied),
- or if the presence of a valid master number should be revealed,
then only the correct method for numerology charts should be used.
Let's use 1980 January 10 as a date and apply it to each of those three methods. You will see three different results.
The year is the number 1980. The month is the number 1. And the day is the number 10.
Adding together all the individual digits of the day of the birth date.
1+9+8+0 +1 +1+0 = 20
The result is the number 20.
Adding together the year number, the month number, and the day number of the birth date.
1980+1+10 = 1991
The result is the number 1991.
Determining the foundation numbers of the year, the month, and the day of the birth date, then adding together those three foundation numbers.
1+9+8+0 = 18; 1+8 = 9
1 = 1
1+0 = 1
9+1+1 = 11
The result is the number 11.
The total obtained by each of the three methods is different than the other two.
Not all dates will have different results for each of the methods. But some will.
As noted earlier, if the purpose is to consolidate the birth date to a single-digit, then any of those methods will do. For 1980 January 10, the single-digit result is the number 2.
2+0 = 2 1+9+9+1 = 20; 2+0 = 2 1+1 = 2
The correct numerology method for birth date calculation is to (1) determine the foundation numbers of the year, the month, and the day of the birth date, then (2) adding together those three foundation numbers.
Use the correct numerology method whenever it is feasible to do so. It provides the correct birth date number for any date.
The correct numerology method will reveal a valid master number when it's available. (A "master number" revealed only by either of the other two methods is a false master number.)
In conclusion, although any of the three methods can be used to determine a single-digit value for a birth date, use only the correct numerology method to obtain the originally calculated birth date number (the result before any further calculations) or to reveal any valid master number.
